These Self-Centering trucks automatically align parallel to the car, simplifying track placement. They're mounted using a #2 or 2-56 screw. First introduced in the 1930s, they were used in U.S. railroad interchange service until 1993. The Bettendorf Double Truss Truck, represented by Kadee #500, #502, and #550, is designed for 100,000-pound cars.
