Description
- HANDCRAFTED IN AFRICA - The sangban 12" x 24" (middle size) in the set of three is the dominant tonal note in the ensemble, and is typically associated with the movement of the torso of the dancers, and is considered the center, core identity of each rhythm. This sangban is part of the Classic line of imported drums from Africa Heartwood Project, suited for students, schools, and drum circles.
- SOLID ONE-PIECE CONSTRUCTION - Excellent sound quality from solid one-piece construction using Mansonia, a legally harvested hardwood abundant in West Africa. The wood is treated with at least four coats of coconut oil to hydrate and beautify the wood.
- AFRICAN COW SKIN ON BOTH SIDES - The drum features African cow skin on both sides, with the hair left on to mellow the sound and provide protection. It is equipped with extra-strong, long-lasting synthetic rope for durability, and the crown rings are wrapped in cloth to extend the rope's life. Each bearing edge is coated with wax to protect and seal the wood, and a tapered wood dunun beater is included with each drum
- READY TO PLAY RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX - After import from Africa, each musical instrument is cleaned, inspected, tuned, and played individually to check sound and quality.
